Generally, would you recommend a "tankless" water heater?

Many instances the water output is relatively low on "tankless" water heater units, they also don't recommend pairing with pressure balance units. The pressure balancing mechanism could throw off the operating pressure even more, because there are differences in water pressure from the hot and cold lines.
