Please refer to the image below for parts.
1. You will first need to start by turning off the water feed to the faucet.
2. Open Your Hot/Cold water handles to let any water that may still be in the lines.
3. Insert the allen wrench provided with the faucets parts into the handles set screw (which can be
found just below the lever on the handle, part 22 on the diagram below) and turn counter clockwise. Once the set screw/ screws are loose you will be able to remove the handle by pulling towards you (PLACE YOUR HANDLE(S) IN A SPARE BOX FOR SAFE KEEPING).
4. Now that the handle(s) has been removed you may now proceed to removing the handle flange (Part 14 on the diagram below). This should be able to remove by hand by turning counterclockwise. After the handle flange is removed place them into your box of parts.
5. Your cartridge should now be fully exposed (Part 12 & 21 on the diagram below). Take an adjustable wrench and fit it to the cartridge and proceed to turning counter clockwise until the cartridge is removed.
6. Take your new Ceramic Disc Cartridge and insert it into the hot/cold side of the valve. Screw the cartridge back into place hand tight, once you have the cartridge screwed in hand tight take your adjustable wrench and fit it to the cartridge and turn clockwise ¼ of a turn.
7. Grab your handle flange from your box of parts and cover the cartridge and proceed to retightening it onto the faucet. Be sure and only tighten the handle flange hand tight.
8. Now fit your handle onto the cartridge stem in your preferred direction; ideally the handles should be facing down in the off position. Take your allen wrench and insert it into the set screw and turn clockwise to tighten.
Changing the Diverter Cartridge
1. Take a phillips head screw driver an insert it into the screw and turn it counter clockwise (Part 20 on the diagram below). After you have removed the screw place the screw and the diverter handle in your box of parts.
2. Now take an adjustable wrench and fit it to the cartridge cover and turn counter clockwise until it is off and place into your box of parts.
3. Now your diverter cartridge should be fully exposed, grab a pair of channel locks and grab the stem of the cartridge and proceed to removing the cartridge by wiggling it from side to side as well as pulling it out of its socket. Take note that the diverter cartridge needs to fit tight so it may be a struggle to remove it.
4. Place the new cartridge into its socket. Lubricating the cartridge may help in reinserting it back in place. Take the cartridge cover from your box and thread it back onto the faucet body covering the cartridge. Now take your handle and slide it back onto the stem and reinsert your phillips head screw. Retighten the screw down and now you have successfully changed the cartridge.
