Why are my polished finishes tarnishing or peeling?

Polished finishes were coated with a clear coating to inhibit the possible tarnishing, flaking, or peeling. Along the way, this clear coat could be damaged or scratched from normal wear and tear, abuse, or chemicals introduced. This can cause the finishes to tarnish or to peel. We apologize for this inconvenience, the damaged area would render unable to be repaired, and you will need to replace any parts of the faucet that are tarnished or substantially scratched.
