Nearly all of Kingston’s bathroom faucets are constructed of solid brass. For the vast majority of our models, that means the main faucet bodies, waterways and handles are all solid brass. The other materials listed on these faucets are secondary such as porcelain or acrylic on handles, ABS in aerators, and the like. The different finishes we offer are applied to the brass substrate through an electroplating process. Some include other treatments such as our Oil Rubbed Bronze, which is a living finish.
For the remaining fraction of our bathroom faucets, the primary materials used include zinc alloy, a highly resistant, durable material well suited to plumbing fixtures, and Engineering Grade ABS, a highly durable and non-leaching plastic. Kingston also offers a range of faucets with ABS waterways to suit certain zero lead, lightweight, and specialized applications. These faucets undergo the same type of plating and finish treatment processes as our brass faucets.
Kingston develops our designed products through professional, prominent vendors in East Asia - Taiwan and China, specifically. We partner with these producers long term, in some cases over 20 years and counting. Roughly 80% of our products are Taiwanese manufactured. Our faucets are among the heaviest on the market, and our plating is exceptionally consistent. Kingston follows a rigorous Quality Assurance procedure that involves a physical, documented check of each manufacturing lot. Feel confident in the quality of your faucet when you purchase from Kingston.
