My spout will not align correctly with the body of the faucet. How can I fix the issues?

There are times when the spout won’t align correctly with the faucet body. Damages to the threading or just bad threading in general can be one of the major causes. A simple solution for this problem is first to not over tighten the spout, this may lead to scratches, cracks, and even leaks from the faucet.

1. Wrap 4-5 turns of Teflon tape onto the thread of the spout.
2. Install the spout onto the body by hand and tighten carefully until the spout is aligned with the body.
3. Over tightening and/or forcing the spout will cause damages that may lead to leaks.
4. The spout just needs to be tight enough that it is firm and won’t leak when turned on.
5. Adjust as necessary, there may be more Teflon tape that needs to be applied.
